This section of the toolbar allows you to customize the appearance of the text by changing the font, size, style, and colors.
1 – Font Family
A dropdown list (picklist) with standard font options such as Arial, Courier New, Georgia, Lucida Sans Unicode, Tahoma, Times New Roman, Trebuchet MS, and Verdana, in addition to the “Default” option to use the font defined for the document. Allows you to choose the font that best suits your content and style.
2 – Font Size
A dropdown list with numerical options to set the font size, in addition to the “Default” option. Allows you to adjust the text size for easier reading and create visual hierarchy.
3 – Bold
Applies the bold style to the selected text, making it more prominent.
- Shortcut key: Ctrl+B or ⌘+B
4 – Italic
Applies the italic style to the selected text, giving it a slight slant and differentiating it from regular text.
- Shortcut key: Ctrl+I or ⌘+I
5 – Underline
Applies an underline to the selected text, adding a horizontal line beneath it.
- Shortcut key: Ctrl+U or ⌘+U
6 – Font Color
Allows you to choose the text color from a standard color palette, use the color picker to define a specific hexadecimal color, or remove the font color, returning it to the default color.
7 – Font Background Color
Allows you to choose the background color of the text from a standard color palette, use the color picker to define a specific hexadecimal color, or remove the background color of the font.
